Ellen DeGeneres is Happily Married

Ellen DeGeneres and her fiancé Portia de Rossi tied the knot on Saturday (August 16) at their home in Los Angeles.

Ellen addressed her fans on her show’s website, saying: “I had a big weekend, I got married to Portia de Rossi! Sorry, John Stamos … this one’s taken.”

“I do a lot of things differently now … I say, ‘I do’ a lot. For example: Who wants to do pilates? I do. Would you like a Mountain Dew? I do. Do you know why I pulled you over? I do. And that was just this morning.”

Ellen adds: “You may notice something different about the way I’m writing … it’s fancy. This is the font I type in now that I’m MARRIED” - pointing out the cursive–script style of her message.

Talk show host Ellen DeGeneres married her long time partner at their $33 million Beverly Hills mansion in Los Angeles yesterday (August 16).

DeGeneres, 50, and de Rossi, 35, exchanged handwritten vows in an intimate ceremony attended by 19 guests, a representative for the couple told the magazine.

“They were hugging and kissing, and looked ecstatic,” an onlooker tells Us magazine. “Ellen was helping Portia with the train of her dress, which looked like a Cinderella tutu.”
